The Skansie Visitor Center is open Wednesday through Sunday during the summer months and Thursday through Saturday between October and March. In addition, the Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce operates a visitor center on Judson Street, simply two blocks from the waterfront. The Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center is open Monday through Friday between 10am and 4pm year round.

Swing For A Soldier is a golf tournament that supports the Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation, a Gig Harbor-based foundation that raises funds for alternative therapy programs that help veterans and their families find a light through the darkness of post-traumatic stress, promoting post traumatic growth.
Tournament held at the amazing – Canterwood Country Club! Enjoy a sun filled afternoon being a part of a foursome of civilians, veterans and military personnel competing for the cause: bringing awareness to and supporting families of our warriors with PTS and TBI.
Registration includes: Gold Cart, Gift Bag, Practice Range, Boxed Lunch, Dinner
